Boulangerie Bon Matin

Happy New Year! After spending NYE in bed I felt like the only person in London without a hangover, and I didn’t like it one bit. Fear of missing out. I have walked past Boulangerie Bon Matin many times, but have just never found the opportunity to go in. It is really cute from the outside:

DSC00927There is an array of French pastries, salads and tempting cakes on display as you walk in, next to an open kitchen. We sat down at a table next to an exposed brick wall (I like). It is quite small but there is a lot of tables, and not too cramped either. We got smoothies (£2.90): apple/banana/strawberry and blueberry/muesli/forgot the other ingredients… He got scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast (£7.20). The portion of eggs was huge and they were delicious. I am not a huge fan of scrambled eggs, and a common complaint is that they are rubbery, however these were not. Yum. The smoothies were very nice too, full of fresh fruit.

This place was a great find, and I will definitely be visiting again, to try out the other things on the menu. Service was quick and cheerful.
